Vineyards of more than 80 years located in the surroundings of the Lerma ducal village.The small size of the plots requires that they are treated in a traditional way and with theutmost respect for a privileged environment. The treatments in the vineyard discard herbicidesand chemical fertilizers, which requires to do a manual and precise work of the terroir.
It is done during second week of October. Grapes selected and harvested by hand in boxes of 15 kilos.
Harvested by hand, at the point of phenolic maturity that allows us to make bunches without destemming. Whole bunches with very ripe stems are stowed in small deposits, where they will be subtly trodden until the start of fermentation, where manual punching is applied. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, on lees, providing a very unctuous and lasting touch.
24 months in French oak barrels.
Garnet color intense and bright, with vivid violet highlights. Mountain aromas stand out in the nose, aromatic herbs and spicy notes reminiscent of clove; upon opening appear aromas of ripe black fruits and noble woods, all this evokes a wine aromatically complex and well integrated. Depth in the mouth, it is a balanced wine that stands out for its roundness and volume, without losing freshness and has presence of mature tannins that structure it. It is a fresh and pleasant wine.
